Molino
di Bombi
The ancient and recently restored complex of Molino di Bombi,
dating from 1200 is situated in the Chianti Senese, not far from
Castellina and only 15 minutes from Siena. It consists of six
characteristic apartments adapted to the varying needs of hospitality
and all equipped with modern services. Particular attention in
the restoration has been given to preserving the link between
the Molino di Bombi and water. The existing structures for example,
have allowed for the unusual swimming pool (14 by 4,50 metres)
to take shape in the natural hollow formed by the convergence
of the waters, of which the original traces remain. The whole
is inserted in a natural context rich in waterfalls and streams.
In accordance with the famous tradition of Chianti Classico, the
Molino di Bombi proposes a choice of local flavours: the “tinaia”
is the ideal space for tasting and appreciating the wine and oil
produced on the premises, accompanied by tastes of typical dishes
and appetizing snacks. Covered parking, mountain bike at disposal,
animals are welcome.
