In the hills south of Pistoia, a fascinating town south west
of Florence, there is a magnificent country villa. It is simply
delightful and no expense has been spared in the restoration
and decor. It is a typical stone house of approx 220 sq mt immersed
in the green hills of Montalbano which is Chianti DOC country.
The position offers views over the valley which unites Florence,
Prato and Pistoia.
The restoration has kept all traditional architectural features
intact, finishes are of a luxurious standard and particular
care has been given to the choice of furnishing fabrics to create
an elegant, comfortable and refined environment. The large garden
(120 sq mt) is furnished for outdoor dining and from here guests
enjoy lovely panoramic views across olive groves and hillsides.
A pool of irregular shape (approximately 7 x 3.5 mt) is set
in the garden at the front of the house in a secluded position
enjoying the view. Peace and privacy is assured for a holiday
here.
The house is on two floors. Entry into a spacious
hall leading to a very large living room with adjoining study
and spacious dining room. The study and living room each have
beautiful stone fireplaces and are furnished with sofas and
armchairs. On the opposite side of the entry is another casual
living room with open country fireplace for roasting. This room
adjoins the very smart kitchen which has a door to the garden.
Appliances include dishwasher, washing machine, oven, 5-burner
gas cooker, large fridge-freezer. A guest toilet completes this
floor.
The upper floor is reached by a splendid staircase in pietra
serena. The charming master bedroom enjoys a walk-in wardrobe/dressing
room and ensuite bathroom in marble with shower and tub. A small
balcony off the bathroom offers panoramic views. Down the corridor
is a queen size bedroom and walk-in robe, bathroom with shower,
a twin bedroom which shares the bathroom. On the attic floor
reached via a staircase in terracotta tiles we find a large
bathroom with tub and another bedroom/study..
The decor is gorgeous and of five-star standard. Amenities

is Quarrata at 1 km, famous for furniture production, and with
